What I Support

Support educators and provide schools with the resources needed to meet the different learning needs of students. This includes, supporting competitive teacher salaries, ways to retain and attract qualified teachers and support staff, and access to specialized programs, instructional resources, and learning supports that help students succeed.

Student Support 

Expand access to counselors, metal health services, and programs that help students succeed. Stengthening multidisciplinary student support teams that may include school counselors, psychologists, therapists, social workers, and other specialists who can address students' academic, behavioral, mental health, and social needs.

Career & Technical Education (CTE)

Strengthen CTE and vocational opportunities that prepare students for life after school. Expand partnerships between high schools, technical colleges, and workforce programs that give students opportunities to gain hands-on experience, develop specialized skills, and earn recognized credentials or certifications.

Support access to healthcare and community-based mental health services, especially in underserved communities. This includes efforts to expand services to rural areas, identifying gaps in existing services, and supporting programs that better connect individuals and families with the care they need.

Reproductive Choice

 

Support access to reproductive healthcare and an individual's right to make personal decisions with their provider.​

Foster Care & Family Stability

 

Strengthen services for foster youth, kinship care givers, older adults, and families. Support young adults transitioning out of foster care by expanding access to healthcare and mental health services, workforce opportunities, and resources that promote long-term stability and independence. 

Invest in safer roads, improved traffic flow, and transportation infrastructure that serves both existing and growing communities.

Support responsible development that considers the impact of growth on schools, roads, public services, and existing communities.

Support policies that help South Carolina farmers and local businesses by improving access to resources, financing opportunities, and markets that help them grow adn remain competitive.
